Narrative

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A fatal hit-and-run claimed the life of a woman in North Philadelphia during the early hours of Thursday.

The victim was struck at approximately 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of North Broad and Somerset streets.

Witnesses told police the 36-year-old woman was attempting to cross Broad St. when she was hit by a white sedan that kept traveling northbound on the roadway.

The woman suffered fatal injuries in the crash. It is unclear at this time if police have located the vehicle involved or identified the driver.
