Narrative
LANCASTER CO., PA – Two 19-year-olds were seriously injured Wednesday in a collision involving a pickup truck and a horse and buggy in southeast Lancaster County.
The accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. on Bell Road near Sproul Road, which is east of Kirkwood and north of Oxford.
Police say that a for unknown reasons, a southbound pickup truck struck a horse and buggy carrying two adults and a toddler.
Medics transported both adults from the horse and buggy to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Neither the child passenger nor the driver of the pickup truck required hospitalization.
The crash caused road closures in the area of Bell and Sproul while emergency crews worked at the scene.
