WEST SPRINGFIELD, PA – A 57-year-old man died Saturday after a vehicle struck his motorcycle along a major roadway in West Springfield.
The accident occurred around 6:25 p.m. on West Ridge Road just south of Steinberg Road and next to Home Tavern.
Police say that a westbound Dodge RAM truck turned without looking to enter Home Tavern and struck an eastbound Harley Davidson Roadster. The force of the collision threw the motorcyclist, identified as Eugene Ice, from his bike.
Ice died after transport to an area hospital.
Police cited the 46-year-old driver of the pickup truck for careless driving.
