CAMP HILL, PA – Several people sustained injuries Friday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash along PA-581 in Camp Hill.
The accident happened shortly before 2 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway near Trindle Road. This is just northeast of St. John’s Cemetery.
Police say that a chain-reaction crash that began with a rear-end collision occurred when traffic reached a stand-still along the highway.
Authorities haven’t disclosed the exact number of vehicles involved in the accident. They say that three PennDOT employees required hospitalization when their crew cab was struck in the crash.
Additional victims also required hospitalization in the wreck, though details remain limited.
Officials closed one lane of the highway while emergency teams responded to the crash.
