HARMAR TWP, PA – One person sustained serious injuries Thursday in a crash along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Allegheny County.
The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. between the Allegheny Valley Expressway and Butler Valley in Harmar Township.
Police haven’t yet specified the cause of the accident or the number of vehicles involved. They say that one person required extrication after becoming entrapped in their vehicle.
Medics airlifted the victim the the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Officials closed the Pennsylvania Turnpike in the area of the crash while crews worked to clear the scene.
